Overview

The Seventh (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates theseventh.app and any associated mobile applications. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

We collect the minimum data necessary to generate your Vedic birth chart and provide compatibility readings. We do not sell your data.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google. We use this solely to identify your account.

Birth data

To generate your birth chart, we collect your date of birth, time of birth, and birth location. You provide this voluntarily. This information is stored securely and used only to compute and display your astrological chart and readings.

People you add

If you add other people to your account (friends, family, partners), we store the birth details you provide for them. You are responsible for having appropriate permission to enter another person's birth information.

Usage data

We collect anonymised usage events (e.g. which features you use, how often) via PostHog to understand how the app is used and improve it. This data is not linked to your identity externally.

How We Use Your Information

AI Processing

Astrological readings are generated using Anthropic's Claude AI. Your chart data (planetary positions, house placements, dasha periods) is sent to Anthropic's API to produce these readings. No personally identifying information such as your name or email is included in these requests. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure. We use row-level security to ensure users can only access their own data. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Children's Privacy

The Seventh is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
